CORONAVIRUS
We are determined that the Swim Against Loneliness will go ahead.
However, the coronavirus crisis may mean the event is postponed.
We are monitoring the situation closely and will post updates here, as we have more news.

LONELINESS IS EVERYWHERE
BUT WHAT CAN WE DO
?

HOW ABOUT SWIMMING?

The late MP, Jo Cox, said ‘‘I will not live in a country where thousands of people are living lonely lives forgotten by the rest of us.’’ Yet, it's a sad, but striking fact, that over 9 million people in the UK - almost a fifth of the population - say they are always or
often lonely.

The Swim Against Loneliness is a spectacular sponsored swimming event, taking place at the Queen's Park Leisure Centre, Chesterfield on June 6th 2020. There is NO MINIMUM DISTANCE OR SPEED, you're free to swim at your own rate and enjoy yourself. All we ask is that you raise at least £20.00 in sponsorship.
There's no charge for taking part.

We're raising money for the befriending service Elderfriends, and the isolated elderly of North East Derbyshire.

BUT WE NEED YOU TO BE PART OF IT!
